I haven’t written a new blog post since October last year. And here’s why:
- We found out we were expecting our second baby around Christmas time. And oh boy! My first and second trimester were rough. Seriously no joke! I was sick everyday. Then faced lack of inspiration, motivation, my brain turned completely blank… For a graphic designer, these are terrible feelings. I couldn’t paint, design, nor take care of my online shop. I had to put the shop on vacation for a week during the busiest time of the year. It was heartbreaking for me, but I needed to step away. I had been feeling so terribly sick. I was afraid my customers wouldn’t get the service they deserved. It was – in despite of it all – a really good break for me. I still sold tons of designs and everyone was happy at the end. So win win!
- We bought a house! And as soon as we signed the contract, we had to immediately leave our apartment, because new tenants were ready to move in. It was hectic. Trying to keep up with work, motherhood, pregnancy sickness and moving. You can imagine those months are still a blur to me. But we are done! We are all settled in our new home, I’m getting to decorate here and there and loving this new season of my life. We never owned a house before, this is the first time I get to really enjoy being a homemaker. Our kitchen is spacious, Levi has a lot of space to run around. Our house is simple, yet very sweet. It’s a happy time for us.
That being said, I am back! And after sickness was gone, I started to create new prints and stationery products again. It’s funny though, because I feel like I have changed my style. But I’m happy with it 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen I launched a Tropical Collection that’s been in the work for quite a while. I’m quite pleased with it and it makes my heart happy that a few brides got to use the designs in their own weddings.
I’ve been into typography more recently. Here’s two versions of the latest prints I’ve uploaded to the shop:
This is one of my favorite verses, and I wanted to see it in a modern print. Can’t wait to hang this guy on my wall!
Hope you guys are having a great week!
Thanks for stopping by.
Love,
