I love sharing Home Decor Ideas, especially DIY Home Decor Projects, they are my favorites! This great DIY decor idea is literally from my home to yours. Today I’m taking you in a little tour through my new Home Office. And I couldn’t keep the good stuff all for myself. At the end of this post you can download a FREE printable I made just for you. You may add it to your gallery wall, pin to your Pinterest and spread the love!
Since I moved to my new apartment in Mystic, I’ve been wanting to create an inspiring work space. After a few trips to T.J.Maxx and Michael’s, my project turned into reality. I finally have my Home Studio completely finished. It’s an inspiring place, I really love working in this little spot.
If you already follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed I am a bit obsessed with Gallery Walls. But I can’t take all the credit for putting my own gallery together. I had a very talented friend help me project it. Katrina just has the eye for this. I had all these prints laid out and wanted to hang them on my wall, but I kept getting too symmetric. I tend to place things in perfect lines… it’s my OCD side speaking up. After several attempts, I asked Katrina for help and in a matter of seconds, she was able to coordinate all the prints and place them just in the right places. Amazing! That’s a real gift.
10 Tricks and DIY Projects to Style Your Home Office
1. Hang clipboards on the wall and use them to hold cute prints. I purchased mine at T.J. Maxx.
2. Use mugs to store pens, pencils and other office objects. Mugs are great!
3. Preferably choose to invest on White elements to style your desk. I used a white desk lamp from Aliexpress, and the chair and fur rug from Ikea. White in general makes your space look more clean.
4. Build a Gallery Wall with prints that fit with your style. You may even change them from times to times. Prints can inspire you to get the work done! I picked some of my favorites from my online shop. Check the download links to all these beautiful prints at the end of this post.
5. Use cute/colorful Notebooks and Note Pads to add style to your desk. I got mine from Rifle Paper Co. and T.J.Maxx.
6. Download this cool Screensaver from fliqlo.com // It makes it for very stylish photos, right?
7. Use an open hack to store important documents and objects. I like my Ikea Turquoise Blue Hack because I can see where all my currents projects are. Being able to have easy access to my most used tools make my work flow easier and less stressful.
8. Use washi tape to hang some of your prints on the wall. It’s a good alternative if you don’t want to only use frames. Where to find the gold ones? Michael’s.
9. Use velcro 3M stickers to fix your frames to the wall. They are very resistant and won’t damage the painting on the wall. It makes it easy to switch prints back and forth too. I bought mine at Wall-Mart!
10. Buy a Record Player for your office. Who doesn’t love working with music in the background? I love listening to my records while I’m working. It inspires me to create. My current favorite band is Arctic Monkeys. You can find this Audio-Technica record player at Urban Outfitters.
