So I've been a little quiet here. And the reason is: we are expecting our third baby this winter!! We are beyond thankful for this little blessing! I've spent the last few months feeling a bit tired and nauseous, it was hard to get on here and update you guys about our homeschool routine and other things. But I'm starting to feel better as I begin to approach second trimester, yay!
I'm thankful for all of the discomfort this first trimester brought me, because it means we are growing a healthy baby! Keeping my two little ones occupied while feeling so unmotivated hasn't been easy, but Dave has gone above and beyond to make sure I'm not overwhelmed with all of my responsibilities. I haven't cooked a real meal in about two months, the playroom has been in a disaster state for weeks, and our daily rhythm is pretty much non-existent haha! I have to laugh because I know this is just a season, and I am confident things will slowly go back to normal as I regain my energy.
We had our first ultrasound recently, met with my new midwife and got to see the hospital we might deliver our baby at. Baby is doing great, the midwives that will be seeing me for the next few months are so sweet, I really love the team we picked, and our local hospital has been making changes to provide a comfortable environment for moms choosing to try natural birth. Things are looking very good so far 🙂 I'm excited for this new chapter in our lives, but also nervous when I think I'll be home with three little ones next year! What a big change!
How did you transition from two children to three? Was it easy? I mean, I should never ask if it was easy, because I know it never is, right?! I would love to hear about your experience though, I think I need a boost of confidence here :D! I do know God's grace is sufficient, I haven't had one challenge He hasn't helped me with, so I'm holding to the assurance that He's going to give me the strength I need 🙂
Anyways, we are taking a long summer break, and haven't worked on our homeschool activities lately. I'm hoping that in August I will be able to maintain a good rhythm with the kids again. For now we are on survival mode over here, I would appreciate your prayers at this time, friend! Thank you so much for your support!
